The Center for American and the Center for European Studies invite you to participate in the 2nd National Conference of Archival, Archaeological and Library Studies.
When?
The conference will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the Congress to Saturday, June 7, 2025.
What is the conference about?
The main objective of the conference is to create a platform for a broad and interdisciplinary discussion on topics related to archival, library, archaeological and broadly understood discovery and preservation of traces of the past.
The conference is a platform for the free exchange of experiences, views and research between young and experienced scientists, professionals and practitioners from the aforementioned industries.
Proposed (example) thematic areas:
The role of libraries in promoting reading in society
Maritime archaeology: Secrets of sunken cities and ships
Educational activity of archaeological museums
Modern methods of storing archival documents
Development and evolution of technology in libraries
Archaeological research as a cognitive tool for the history of society
Special libraries and science: Cooperation and challenges
Military and political archives
Preservation and conservation of historical photographs in archives
Innovative dating methods in archaeological research
Ethics in archival science: Challenges and solutions

The above thematic areas are only examples - we strongly encourage you to go beyond them. Presentations can be interdisciplinary, combining various experiences and fields of science.
We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.

• We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, industry practitioners, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.
• We invite all interested parties to passive participation.
